Professor Lovett Lawson

Prof Lovett Lawson is the Chairman, Board of Directors of Zankli Medical Centre (ZMC), a 40-bed, 200 staffed private medical centre in Abuja, Nigeria. He is a Professor Clinical Tropical Medicine at the Department of Community Medicine and Primary Healthcare, Bingham University, Nasarawa State, Nigeria.

Prof Lawson’s interests are in TB diagnostics and other infectious diseases. He has been involved in a series of studies which have led to over 36 publications in peer-reviewed journals. His research has involved collaborations with local and international organisations, including the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine, WHO/TDR, GLRA.

Dr. Ayodele Awe
Vice Chair (I), NSTBP
Since joining WHO in 2001 as the first Technical Officer the for TB/leprosy coordinated control programmes in Nigeria, Dr. Awe has provided assistance to Member States and stakeholders, and helped mobilize funds from partners as well as supported the implementation of government TB and leprosy control activities.

Efforts by his team of nine National Professional Officers helped bring DOTS expansion to unprecedented levels in Nigeria, with access to TB services increasing from 1605 facilities in 2002 to 4387 last year. Collaboration with partners – including USAID, the Centers for Disease Control, International Anti-Leprosy Organizations and Family Health International – also helped bridge the financial gaps in TB programme implementation.

Dr. Queen Ogbuji

Dr. Queen Ogbuji holds a Doctorate degree in Medical Sociology from the University of Ibadan Nigeria and works with the Association For Reproductive and family Health (ARFH) for over 13 years. ARFH has been the Principal Recipient for the Global Fund on TB since 2009 and working with the National TB Control Program, the ILEP partners and other partners for TB control in Nigeria. Dr Ogbuji has many years of experience in public health programming including Reproductive Health/Family Planning, HIV/AIDS, TB and other public health interventions. She is currently the Program Coordinator for the Global Fund TB grant.

She has undergone many trainings on Public health, Research and Clinical Monitoring.

Dr. Olanrewaju Oladimeji

Dr. Olanrewaju is very energetic and a developing expert in international health-policy and operation research with years of working experience on TB, TB-HIV, DR-TB and Leprosy projects in Nigeria, with government and international non-governmental organizations.

He is a research fellow with joint TB project between Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine, UK and Zankli Medical Center, Abuja-Nigeria, where he is coordinating huge community rooted researches on TB/DM, improving TB case findings and evaluation of new TB diagnostic tools (mobile point of care PCR “Genedrive”, “Flurocycler” and automated florescence microscope slides-reader “TBDx”) in Nigeria. Mr. Debo Olateju

Debo Olateju is the Director of Finance at the Institute of Human Virology, Nigeria, saddled with the responsibility of ensuring proper management of the Institute’s financial and treasury functions.

A Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria and Chartered Institute of Taxation, Debo was educated at the Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Abeokuta in Nigeria and the University of Ibadan, where he received a Higher National Diploma in Accountancy and a Master in Business Administration Degree respectively.
